Hard Fall Off The Wagon!

Darn! I guess one or two projects from the yarn stash does not necessarily mean I am cured from yarn shopping.

So . . it’s Monday. Vince is off for Labor Day and I’m too puny to do anything and was feeling pretty sorry for myself.  When I checked my email this morning, there it was . . the “pick me up make me jump for joy” email from Eat, Sleep, Knit. It was a sale for us 10K Club folks. Vince was sitting across from me and I guess the look on my face . . shock, joy, terror . . I wasn’t expecting a sale, it made me happy, but I fear what will happen if another box of yarn arrives at this house. He said “What’s wrong?” I said “A sale just for today at ESK!”

Trick question ..

Vince: Are you ordering anything?
Me: I don’t need anything!
Vince: Order something . . it will make you feel better!

OK . . you don’t have to tell me twice! Into shopping mode I went. First to my Ravelry Favorites and Library but nothing there was pulling hard enough to make me want to spend money.

Dirty Martini

Dirty Martini

Dirty Martini  is a new Thea Colman pattern. I had looked at it the other day. I like it and with it being Aran weight yarn, it should knit up pretty quickly. Choosing  yarn wasn’t easy. I have so much gray and blue and green and wanted something different so I went with Yarn Love/Anne Shirley in Orchid and Scottish Heather.

Yarn Shopping

Yarn Shopping

The first three yarns in the cart above are for making Clayoquot. This caught my attention last week and it looks way hard but I want to try it. The pattern has child and adult sizes and there’s even a cap to match!

The final yarn, the red Tanis Green Label Aran, will be used to make Lady Sunnyside. That’s another one I saw last week, mentioned here and kept going back to.

More yarn added to the stash. More projects added to the queue. They’re all projects I can’t wait to begin so . . life is good!

At this point, Vince would do just about anything to help me feel better. Poor guy . . he’s having to do everything around here and I know it’s wearing him down.

You crack me up! That is just too funny about Vince insisting you order more yarn! You have a sweetheart of a guy there, but then, I think you already know that!

Did Vince realize what he was saying!?!?! LOL You deserve it!

Clayoquot is gorgeous. Oh, but I have so many other projects waiting to be made first. Are you making the adult or child version?

My husband is like that with my fabric addiction! He finds quilt shops for me and says, “Don’t come out empty-handed!” I listen dutifully!!

Yay for Vince! He’s the best! I hope that did cheer you up! I wish I could knit all the complicated stuff you do!

You two make a great team and I’m praying you are back to full steam soon!!
