I could be cured . . maybe! Here are the reasons I’m hopeful:
- There were a couple of Wollmeise updates last week. I put yarn in my cart several times and then walked away . . ordered none!
- Several new patterns hopped in my shopping cart at Ravelry yesterday. I spent way too much time searching the online shops for the perfect yarns to make them but alas, I walked away and ordered nothing!
- I’m starting a new test for Laura Aylor and thought . . if I order yarn today, it will be here by Thursday and I probably can’t work on it til then anyway, but now . . I dug through what I have and I think I have something that will work.
Do you think I’m doing better? I think so!
Here are a couple of patterns I found on Ravelry that I loved but didn’t order yarn to make them!
We so rarely need more than a sweater around here and I detest wearing a coat, even when it is cold. Coats are too bulky to wear in the car and by the time I get out of the car, put the coat on, run in the grocery store . . I could have just gone in without a coat and not been any colder. A sweater I could keep on inside a restaurant or the grocery store and besides . . I love cables! So, you can see why Galt Riverstone caught my eye.
I love Tanis Fiber Arts’ yarn and patterns and there are those cables again so Lady Sunnyside needs to be added to my queue.
Aside from those two, this is the yarn, from the stash, that I think I’m going to use for Laura’s test knit.
Left to right – Wollmeise Pure (Amethyst), Tosh Merino Light (La vie en Rose), and Wollmeise Pure (Safran). Yay . . I’m going to use Wollmeise instead of just collecting it.

I *think* Lady Sunnyside is free this weekend with coupon code SUNNY!

Lady Sunnyside looks lovely! As for the yarn, I rather like the deep, purpley blue, but that may just be what would look good on me.

I also like Lady Sunnyside! Good going on the will power. I have been doing the same with quilt fabrics. Look, may add to cart but delete before ordering! Such a great feeling!

I think you collect Wollmeise like some of us collect Batik.

way to go Judy!!!! love the two sweater patterns you’ve chosen, and how great that you’ve already got yarn in your favorite colors for the new test sweater.

Bravo, Judy! My sister’s friend actually made my Minimalist Cardigan for me as a combo birthday/thanks for the awesome quilting present. I’ll still get around to finishing mine, as it will be a lighter-weight sweater. Ann knitted this one for me from Alpaca and double-stranded it. I’ll be nice and toasty this winter!

Oh, that will be so warm and snuggly this winter!

Congratulations on your restraint! Also, I think the colors for the test knit are wonderful. The Safran will complement and highlight the purples. I look forward to seeing what the yarns become.

Both are beautiful patterns!

Galt Riverstone is gorgeous! If I knew how to knit at all, I would be all over that. 😉 I should probably start with something *a lot* simpler, but I did bookmark it. Thanks!

Great job walking away! I like those patterns too. Did you see the new pattern Raspberry Tart?!?! I just HAD to buy. I’m hoping I can use some stash yarn too.
