It isn’t really housekeeping but more reminders and worthless info:
- For those who get the blog in your email via Mail Chimp, Patchwork Times has so many credits per month. Mail Chimp’s month starts for me on the 24th of the month. Somewhere around the 18th or 19th of the month, I am running out of credits and the feeds into your inbox stops. The only way to remedy that is for me to purchase more credits and at this point, I don’t see how that’s a good choice financially. If you get your feeds through Mail Chimp, and if they stop coming to your inbox, you will have to go directly to the blog to read the posts or you’ll just miss a week or so of posts until the 24th rolls around and they begin appearing in your inbox again.
- WordPress gets crazy sometimes. Without any changes on my part, it gets more picky about which comments are held for moderation. I didn’t put anyone on moderation. It just happens from time to time and it usually works itself out on its own. Don’t feel bad if your comments are held for moderation . . mine are too. I think it’s hilarious when I post a comment myself, and then have to go approve it . . myself!
- A while back I stopped getting your comments in my inbox. Zero . . none of them were coming in. Now they’re back to coming in through my mail box. While they weren’t coming in, I got in the habit of responding to comments on the blog and I kinda like doing it that way vs. emailing a private response. Some comments will get a private response for various reasons but for the most part, any comments that need a response will be done on the blog so if you’re waiting for an answer, please check back on the blog.
Having said all that . . I sometimes just plain forget so if you ask me for something and I don’t respond, please ask again. I read some comments on the iPad or iPhone and I detest typing on either of those gadgets so I always plan to respond when I get back to a computer and . . that’s when the forgetfulness takes over so be patient with me . . I’m getting old! 🙂

Judy, I read your blog on Feedly. It is a great, easy to set up reader that would not cost you anything and I never miss any of your posts.

I know some things should be private, but I enjoy reading your comments on the comments!!

I like the way Freely takes me directly to your website. The other blogs don’t do that. Must be some setting you have.

i get mine thru email. they used to be in my inbox, but just recently they started showing up in my spam box instead…..it only shows a small portion of it and i can not click on it to read more, because it is spam. i always have to go straight to the blog address now if i want to read the whole thing.

I’m glad I’m not the only one WordPress does that to. Two of my longest supporters are suddenly moderated!
