Believe it or not, Denise is not getting blamed for this but . . Amy K. is getting blamed! 🙂 I would probably be the most frugal girl you know if it weren’t for my friends!
Last week Amy sent me an email and said “I saw this quilt in an email this morning and immediately thought of your picture of Addie with her cowgirl hat.” I looked at it and said . . no, I’m not blowing my stash report for a cute little cowgirl quilt for Addie and then about 10 seconds later, I said . . she needs something Texas or western from her granny so I ordered it, along with a few coordinating fabrics.

I’m sure I can come up with some other fabrics to go with those two pinks and browns. Maybe I’ll hurry and make this so I can get it off the stash report . . maybe or maybe not!
I felt kinda bad because Vince and I were in town and the mail lady left a message on my phone that she had delivered a package. Vince said “Oh, good . . I’m waiting for something.” When we got home, I said “It’s for me” and he said “It had better NOT be yarn!” Nope, not yarn . . fabric, but it has a purpose and it will get used very soon.

I know Addie is still small but might you make this quilt for a big girl bed??? Just a thought. That would give you a bit of time to get it done and a hint to mom and dad she might need a bigger bed. 😉

Grammys always have to make pretty quilts for granddaughters and this is one Addie will treasure. Maybe a small applique of Texas on it somewhere? On the lining where only she will know about it. A special bond between you.
