The borders didn’t all get added so maybe this one won’t be on my stash report Sunday. I didn’t get a lot of sewing time . . a neighbor came by, a ride through the woods with Vince, a bit of gardening, a bit of cooking . . you know . . a regular day! I never get as much done as I think I might but I always have good intentions! I made some progress though and I’m real happy with the way the borders are turning out. Since the borders were pieced a bit unconventionally, I did a lot of checking and re-checking my numbers and it looks like it’s going to work out just fine.
There are still two more pieced strips to put on the top and bottom, then a blue, then a white, then a final blue border. The borders surely do change the look, huh?
See what pieced borders can do to a top! Told you so! 😛

Your day was much more productive than mine! Got a few things done this morning, Dad was over to watch the baseball game on TV, grilled steaks for dinner. Now I am back to playing on the computer trying to figure things out! Done for the night, see what it looks like in the morning!

Glad you still got some sewing done even with everything else you did. I find that if I state what I am going to do most of the time I don’t even get to start it!

I’m loving that quilt more and more. The colors really stand out, and I’m falling in love with pieced borders. I hope I still love them when I start making them, which will be soon, I hope. I think I’ll have to start from the beginning though, with maybe a Log Cabin or a 9 square, and work my way back up from there. It’s been a long time since my last quilt, but I’m falling in love with the art all over again.
