Stash Report – Week 48, 2012

The truth is . . I’m working on a quilt for a magazine. The fabric was provided. I have been sewing my fingers to the bone (almost) this week. Even when it is finished, I can’t count the yardage because it wasn’t mine. But, I am sewing and that’s what really matters, right? Did you say yes? 🙂

Used this Week: 0 yards
Used year to Date: 188.75 yards
Added this Week: 0 yards
Added Year to Date: 48.75 yards
Net Used for 2012: 140.00 yards

I can so relate to not being able to show people what you are working on. They don’t go under my name either. sigh….

Yes, it definitely counts! Even if you can’t actually count it….

Yes, it counts where it matters – that much sooner we’ll see your lovely creation.

At least you are sewing something even if it doesn’t count.

I say yes! Even though you can’t count it, your numbers are much better than mine would be. That is if I had continued doing the stash report through the year. Next year I will be better. Promise.

Gulp! I did purchase many yards and evn today, I received another 33 yards in. Quilt in a Day was hosting yardage at a very discounted rate so when I checked it out and saw the Haven’s Edge line so discounted knew I’d be needing some of that for binding and backing for a quilt when I finsh stitching the Little Miss Shabby “Bird QAL ” from last year. Oh and the black batik for $5.oo a yard, had to buy the whole bolt!
I know it won’t go to waste, but just not sure when I’ll be using it. Jane
