Here’s what’s on my design wall — the blocks I got done so far for the August Quiltathon top. There are more half done blocks and tomorrow I’ll try to finish those up but then the project will be put away so I can work on a project with a deadline but I will get back to it soon.

I was thinking that this would be a fun way to use special fussy cut blocks in the center. I have this design on my “want-to-do” list! Thanks Judy!

judy,
i have some liberty of london fabrics (thanks nann and a few others!!!) that i have been struggling with what would be a great pattern to use them on in finishing a last christmas gift for my daughter in law. every idea that i had just never seemed RIGHT…. thanks for sharing this! i have 9 hand embroidered alice in wonderland (old school design) that would be great for the center blocks to be bordered with your pattern. this would be a great wall hanging, and then to make a lap quilt with the rest of the fabrics with solids in the centers–hip hip hooray!!! got my inspiration for my next cutting project! love it! this project has been nagging at me for way too long. the fabrics are way to precious for just any project. this will perfectly fit marissa’s taste.

my August Quiltathon quilt is progressing nicely! I’ve got 12 “B” blocks done so far and have preped everything for the 12 “A” blocks to start tomorrow morning. i took your suggestion and added some rose red squares to my “B” block interior corners. so far this quilt is looking good!
