Quilt Colors

Here’s a question for you  .. if you had to make a two color quilt and it didn’t need to match anything . . just had to be a two color quilt, what two colors would you use?  Just give me two colors — no third color, no further explanation — just two colors.  Got it?  Two colors!

And, because the blog is working correctly and because I love it and because I’m happy about everything, it’s time for a little giveaway.

  57. My first thoughts would be red and white but it looks like I am not the only one who likes red and white so I am going to pick bright yellow and white… the white toning down the bright yellos

  96. I am in a scrappy kind of mode so I would likely do all my blues and all my not-quite-whites. If white/cream does not count as a color then I would add some dark reds.

  108. Red – just a little bit on the burgundy side, and golden tan just light enough to give nice contrast would be the two colors I’d go with today. But if you asked again tomorrow… who knows?

  259. Blue and brown. In the book that I’m listening to now, one of the sisters described her dream kitchen as being turquoise and yellow. The way it was described sounded very appealing and yet somehow I can’t imagine turquoise appliances that was a part of the wish!

  323. Red and yellow. My grandmother made a red and yellow quilt many years ago and I have never forgotten that quilt. It was stunning.
