How about . .
. . lizard eggs? It might take a few of them to make a filling and nutritious meal. That’s pretty gross, huh?
Vince was out tilling up a new spot for a little lavender field and he came across these buried eggs. I’m sure it’s the same kind of lizard or whatever the reptile was that we saw burying eggs a while back. When I was researching about those, someone had reported that they were waiting and waiting for the eggs to hatch and they finally moved some of the dirt back and they said the eggs looked kinda shriveled and leathery.
These are looking kinda shriveled and leathery too. It probably wouldn’t do any good to bury these eggs now and besides . . I’m not Mother Nature but if you want to know what I think . . we have enough critters and lizards and creepy crawly things around here so I doubt anyone is going to miss these four!

So I’m looking at these pictures without my glasses on and I’m all excited because I thought your chickies had started to lay…..knowing full well it’s not time yet. 🙂 🙂 I say those will make some nice organic fertilizer.

I have close to two months to wait before my girls start laying . . if my calculations are right.
Cathi in Texas says
Could be snake eggs. They are usually soft, not hard shell like chicken eggs.
JudyL says
These are real tiny . . about the size of the nail on your little finger. I don’t think they’re snake eggs.
Lisa says
So Judy, don’t you want to do a little surgery on those eggs and see what’s inside?
Brandy M. says
I would!!! LOL. But, with my luck, they would have been JUST ready to hatch and I’d do surgery on the egg, only to find out IT’S ALIVE! hahaha!
Ok. Icky!
