My yarn arrived today for Camp Loopy. This is what I got for the baby blanket. It’s pinker than I thought it would be. I was aiming for more peachy than pinky but I should have known since the color is “Flamingo”.
This is the yarn I ordered to make the Cowlie for Chad.
Looks like good yarn for a hunting cap, huh?
Now . . listen to this story. You know how I’m always trying to get two matching skeins of Wollmeise and I can’t ever seem to do it. A blog reader wrote me and asked if I had managed to get two skeins and I told her no. She had three skeins of perfectly matched Wollmeise she offered to send me. NO WAY!! I couldn’t take her three perfectly matched skeins of Wollmeise. She insisted! I gave her my address and I sat at the mailbox for three days waiting for the package to arrive. 🙂
It’s so perfect for the Pamuya shawl I’m wanting to make. I can hardly wait to get started. I’ve taken the pattern to bed with me the last two nights to read it and re-read it and I think I can do it.
The Carpenter’s Star quilt was hanging across the longarm as I was unpacking this yarn and I looked at the yarn, and looked at the quilt and realized how well everything matches!
Yep, that’s how things are at my house always — perfectly matched! 🙂
Oh, I almost forgot to show you . . the Camp Loopy pin! How cool is this?
I didn’t get one of these last year!

I agree, can’t wait to see Flamingo knitted up. It’s going to be the most gorgeous baby blanket EVER!!!

That Flamingo is lovely. And Chad’s cammo cowlie will blend right into the woods. Perhaps you could knit a “duck call cozy” to match. 😉
Isn’t that CL pin cute – I was surprised when it popped out of my box. Can’t wait till the t-shirts are available.

I did this last year and really enjoyed it; however I used my own yarn and so was not really OFFICIALLY IN. I want to join in this time but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to let them know (ON MY ORDER) that this is for Project 1. I tried calling but got an answering machine message. Today is the last day to order from Loopy Ewe for the first project – so I guess I am just out of luck – unless you have any other suggestions! 🙂
Love your yarn and your projects!

Sao, after you place the order, go back to the screen that shows your order. At the bottom there is a spot for you to “add” a comment. You could always call them too.

I never would have thought of Flamingo! It looks gorgeous. I am not so patiently waiting for my Loopy box to arrive. i know I can’t cast on until May 27 and I have more than enough to do during the MadMay12 challenge.

My Camp Loopy order arrived Monday, it’s wound into a cake, I’ve swatched and love the CL2012 button. This is the first year for buttons.
I love your Flamingo! and envy your WM.

The flaming yarn is just beautiful. The colors just speaks Florida in Spring to me…and I have never been to Florida in the Spring.

I wonder who had a blog with a post that said I am not ordering anymore yarn. Does anyone remember? (lol) Love those colors.

OK – NOW you’ve done it! I just signed up to get the monthly newsletter – and TG I don’t know beans from applebutter about knitting YET! Or I would have made a serious order right then and there! As it was I nearly drowned myself drooling over the delicious yarns!
Definitely NOT entering camp loopy – BUT am thinking in terms of basic learning – at least this year! As it is I have done some basic knitting (if you want to call it that – I’m not sure I do!) – re a skinny scarf and some crocheting (IYWTCIT) on a rug for my dd (one end of the rug was almost half again as wide as the other – and don’t ask ME how I managed to increase stitches – I have NO idea!) Outside of that peculiarity – it looked nice – and she says that it feels so much nicer in winter than the cold cold floors up in NB.
But that’s another story! I am determined to learn to knit decently – if only because my mom who was a master knitter has passed on – and although my dd knits (and quilts and pieces, and crochets) like a dream – I would really like to at least learn.

My yarn just came for the first Camp Loopy project too. Last year I only did 2 of the 3 projects. This year I hope I can do all three to get that elusive skein of Wollemeise. Although I’m afraid I might not be able to stop at one skein after I finally get one.
