Week 9 Stash Report

Can you believe February is history?  Two months of 2009 are gone.  How are you doing with you stash reduction efforts?  If you’ve stumbled or fallen off the wagon, we’re starting a new month . . begin anew.

My nephew had a friend . . I think she thought of herself as a girlfriend but I don’t think she ever was but . . that doesn’t matter.  When he was killed, she came back to visit mom and dad a few times.  There as a good while that she didn’t visit and when she came back, she told mom “Sorry I haven’t been here in a while, I fell off the wagon.”  I guess she’d had a drinking problem or something and had gotten treatment.  Mom said “Oh,  you were injured?”  Mom though the girl truly fell off a wagon and had physical injuries.  Don’t ask me how that entered my stash report!

Anyway, I used 3 yards working on a donation quilt and a border for another quilt.  Didn’t buy anything.

Fabric Added this Week: 0 yards
Fabric Added Year to Date: 0 yards

Fabric Used this Week: 3.0 yards
Fabric Used Year to Date: 111 yards

I have to leave a comment, Judy! I’ve been focusing on my stash and the quilts I’ve made so far this year have all been from my stash (ok, I did order a few yards of a background print cuz I was short). And, during the entire month of February I didn’t purchase any new fabric – nothing, zilch, nada. I’m super proud of myself and having a ton of fun using the stash.

    Thanks for letting me share!

    Hi Judy

Here is my stash report. I’ve had my best week ever. Thank you for the inspiration!

    P.S. I’m a bit confused. Is this Week 9 or Week 10?

There is a dent in my stash, thanks to your good efforts, but I’m not counting it until I at least get to the flimsy stage.

I’m amazed at your numbers – and your buying restraint! You’re blowing us all away!!!!!

I was so careful with adding fabric to my stash that I bought JUST what I thought I needed; not an inch more and so now I get to go shopping and buy the inch more that I need.

    Hi Judy:

I thought I had missed a week. . . but since my reports are usually posted in the middle of the week I figured I just mistakenly put my report on the wrong entry.

Thank you for helping me get my brain straight!

posted my progress report and stash bustin report. Made a little ding in my stash this week. I am happy to say I haven’t had to purchase one piece of fabric this year and have been good and working on UFOs and BOBs to reduce those too.
Everyone seems to be doing such a good job with this challenge. I love looking at everyone’s blogs to see what ya’ll are up to and how much everyone has used up for the week.
