Last night we had an Azure pickup. The pickup times vary and we never know when they're going to be - day or time - until a few days after our order closes. We've had them at 8 a.m. and I think the latest we had before yesterday was 5:30 p.m. but yesterday's pickup was at 7:15 p.m. We don't go out at night so I was a bit concerned. We got there about 7 and the truck was already there unloading so ...
A Great Tuesday
The not so great part is that the dachshunds had me up at 4 a.m., which seems to becoming a habit with them. But, make lemonade with those lemons! I was going to leave the house little before 9 to go stitch with a friend so I thought about trying to go back to bed but the dogs wanted to play so I did a bit more stitching on Love is the Key by Teresa Kogut. A bit of photo bombing by the ...
Jerusalem Artichokes
Years ago, I think it was 2001 and 2002, we spent a week at a cabin in Georgia. The other day when I was at the dentist, she asked me where was my favorite place we ever went on vacation and I told her about that little cabin in Ellijay, GA. I loved it there! It was way out away from any other places but there was a little lane that went off into the woods so one day Vince and I walked down ...

Towards the end of July, most of the tomatoes were getting so scraggly and not producing much that it was no longer worth watering them so I stopped watering all the tomatoes. These cherry tomatoes don't seem to mind having no water. They're still growing, still blooming and still ...
Canned Ham & Beans
First, my "canned ham & beans" are not really "canned ham & beans". Why do folks keep coming back and reading my nonsense? :) Thank you for doing it and for trusting me enough to ask for recipes. You've probably all figured out that I am not a fan those agencies, schools, whatever . . that make the rules about canning. I understand there's work involved in testing and approving recipes ...
Fuji Apple Salad
I'm a huge fan of Panera Bread. I think I could eat there every day and there are getting to be fewer and fewer places I like to eat. Vince will go to Panera IF there's a special. Otherwise, he thinks it's too expensive. Obviously, we don't eat out much! My current favorite sandwich at Panera is the Garden Caprese Sandwich. I really could eat that sandwich twice a day. It's not hard to make at ...
