As you all already know, July 4, 2026 will be the 250th anniversary of our country’s signing of the Declaration of Independence. Of course, the cross stitching world makes big plans for all celebrations. I’m sure there are more plans than I know about but the one I’ve heard the most about is 13 for the 250th SAL. Those participating are planning to stitch 13 pieces between now (July 4 technically) and July 4, 2026.
Most are planning to stitch smalls but I’m not real inclined to stitch smalls so my plan is to stitch a few of my favorite patriotic designs. If I get one finished, I’ll be happy. If I get two done, I’ll be happier. If I get them all done . . I’ll be shocked! 🙂
In no particular order, these are the pieces I would like to work on.
1-3: Teresa Kogut’s June, 2025 Patreon Designs.

Above is a screenshot from my table – the Markup App. These are fairly small. On 40 count, Blessed Nation (left) will be 5-1/2 x 4-1/8″. The middle one, American Folkart, will be 8-1/4 x 7-5/8″. The one on the right, USA Berry Bowl, will be 5″ square on 50 count.
Since these are designs for Teresa Kogut’s Patreon group, they aren’t available for purchase yet. Sorry.
Those three seem pretty do-able.
4. This Land by Kitten Stitcher

This one will be 6-1/4 x 5″ on 40 count.
5. Land of the Free by Willow Hill Samplings

I’ve had this one for a while and have wanted to stitching it ever since I bought it. I guess that’s my plan with all the charts I buy! 🙂
Land of the Free is a bit larger but not as large as you may think. It’s 329 x 101 and on 40 count, would be 16-3/8 x 5″. I may stitch this one on 36 count, and it would be 18-1/4 x 5-1/2″.
6. Sweet Liberty Sampler by Lori Rippey

This one is 257 x 145. On 35 count, it would be 14-1/4″ x 8″. On 40 count, it would be 12-7/8 x 7-1/4.
I’m sure I can get at least three done but I’m going to try for all six. Can you imagine how happy I will be to have all of these on the wall by July 4, 2026?

Thanks. I make great plans on paper – just never seem to stick with them. Too many new charts draw me in. 🙂

But it’s always so fun making plans even if they don’t pan out. 🙂

Hi Judy – do you know the pattern maker of the “land of the free because of the brave” pattern? I really like it and tried to do a search, but it turns out there are a lot of patterns called that! 🙂 Thanks!! Kathy in California
