I truly cannot believe that it’s been almost a year since I made this post about the new stitching stand. I have used it exclusively since I got it and I love it. I thought it was funny that this is one of the charts I was working on and that’s one I just got laced and popped into a frame.

I’ve also mentioned multiple times about my search for the perfect stitching chair. I feel like there’s a better chair out there for me but I have bought numerous chairs, loveseats, recliners and have not been thrilled with any of them. If I mention to Vince that I want to find a better stitching chair, I might find myself with a very unhappy husband! So far I am fairly happy with the latest recliner except it’s one of those that doesn’t just recline the back but your butt kinda goes back too. That means that my stitching stand isn’t sitting level – it’s leaning toward me. The “arms” that hold the frame are adjustable but I was having a hard time getting everything in the right position where the arms weren’t hitting my magnifying light, and the stitching was in a comfortable position for me.
I found this little neck roll pillow at Amazon (affiliate link) for less than $10. It arrived today and I slipped the foam “tube” out of the fabric, sliced it in half with a serrated knife, put half back into the zipper case and it works perfectly to keep the stand exactly in the right position.

It’s so nice when there’s an inexpensive, easy fix to my problems! 🙂

What a great idea!!! I got the stand while I was at the Hobby House retreat a couple months ago and love it! I’ve bought several over the last few years and given them all to my daughter ?. She was very happy I didn’t like the potoky mini stand that much lol. My stand is a bit smaller tho. They now have 3 different size bases and shorter arms. It’s perfect for me. Altho getting it home might have made my luggage a wee bit heavy!! (And so stressful it would make it safely!) I’ve been using a blanket to make it level but it hit 94 degrees today so won’t work now. I’m going to go order this roll right now! I love all your ideas! Thank you!

Thank you so much for letting me know about the shorter arms and supports. I ordered both of them. I may end up ordering a shorter base. I think I’m fine with the one I have but now that I know there’s a shorter one, I may decide to get it.

I’m curious. How does this stand work with a hoop? I use both a hoop and frame depending on what I’m working,

It’s supposed to work with a hoop and Q-Snaps but I can’t speak for how either work because I only use scroll frames.
