I mentioned the other day that there are several Stitch Alongs starting up soon and I always think I should join in every one of them but I’m still in the “finish WIPS” mood so I feel like I should act on that while the desire is there.
One of the SALS (stitch alongs) that kept calling to me is with Hollis Hands Create and I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be something by Plum Street Samplers, because that seems to be what everyone is showing that they’ll be stitching on, but, it starts Memorial Day and runs through Labor Day, in other words — garden season! 🙂
I have quite a few Plum Street pieces I want to start but then I decided to continue working on WIPS. I have three projects started that I want to get finished and if I can get these three done by the end of August, I will be one happy stitcher. One of them is Plum Street but two are not. I’m not going to join the SAL because what my plans are do not fit with the objective of the SAL so I’ll just do my own thing.
The first one I’m going to concentrate on (unless something else grabs my attention!) is Rose Hill Sampler by Stacy Nash. I will work on this through June and I do think I can get it finished by the end of June.

The project for July is Winter Rose Manor by Brenda Gervais. I started this one quite some time ago and it’s time to get it finished. I’m pretty sure I can have it finished by the end of July. Filling in the house will take a while but that’s pretty mindless. There’s still a lot to do but a lot has been done!

The third one is This is the Day by Plum Street. This one is on 36 count linen and it’s my Wednesday project but, come August 1, if it isn’t already finished, I’m going to work on it every day until it’s done. I think I can get it finished by the end of August.
I mentioned that it’s on 36 count linen because I can halfway see to stitch on it without my magnifying lamp. The other two are 40 count . . maybe. I might have stitched Winter Rose Manor on 36 count so it would fit better into a frame I had intended to use but may not use . . we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.
This is the photo I shared after I finished the bricks on the house. I haven’t stitched any more on it since then.

Can I get these three finished in three months? I think I can!

You can do it!! All three will be lovely finishes. Just so you know, the #hollissummerholidaysal does not need to be Plum Street. It can be any designer and a new start or a WIP. I did pull out a new start after midnight – Stars & Stripes – that I had kitted up for quite some time but I’m also working on a WIP. I agree – fun to plan and join in a SAL (Start a-long) but not necessarily finish by the time everyone else does. 🙂

Oh, my goodness! Are you talking about Stars & Stripes – the three piece project by Plum Street?
justquiltin says
Yes – that’s the one

That’s so funny because I kitted that up thinking I would stitch those during the summer SAL and then I decided to work on WIPS instead.

We were on the same wave length again! 🙂

Those are all so pretty! I especially like the top one because it looks kind of like a country barn to me. No new starts for me. I’m still working only on the Name Sampler for my son. I hope to have it done for his birthday in August.

I like the top one too. I’m glad it’s the June project.
