Horrible picture I know. I took this late last night with two dogs on my lap and it was more important to “let a sleeping dog lie” than to get a good picture.

I still have one brother’s name/DOB and DOD to add, I still have to finish the cartouche around his parents’ dates and there are three or four small motifs I want to add in some of the larger open areas.
My plan is to finish this today . . if not today by the end of the weekend. I’ll check the frames I have here and if I don’t have one I want to use, I’ll run to Hobby Lobby probably Tuesday and get one ordered.
My goal was to have this piece fully finished (framed and on the wall) by my dad’s birthday (July). I think that’s going to happen!

Thank you. I think I needed this project to work on to help with the grieving process so I’m glad I started it and stuck with it.

What a nice tribute to your dad! The colors are so nice! I know after my brother passed, I stopped sewing. I joined a block of the month club and it kick started my love of sewing again. Sometimes it’s the things we have to do to help us in the grieving process.

That piece is so pretty! What a lovely tribute. I’m working on a name sampler for my son. I want him to have something special when I’m gone. I hope he’ll appreciate it.

My guess is that he will cherish it. I’m so glad to hear that you’re doing that.
