Some days I feel like I have zero self-control. Other days, I feel like I don’t need to be so rigid with myself and my plans. For my weekly menus, it really doesn’t matter what happens, we’re having what’s on the menu. No changing it! If I go to the grocery store with a list, there’s nothing coming home with me that isn’t on that list. If I see something I think I might want to try, I’ll put it on the next list. I’ve learned that too often I buy things on a whim, because the food on the picture looks so delicious or it just looks interesting and those are the things I end up not using so . . not on the list . . not coming home with me.
But, my cross stitching. I love making plans. I don’t do so well with sticking with those plans. I love starting new projects. I’m not so crazy about finishing projects.
On January 1, 2025, I started several projects. This is the Day by Plum Street is one of them. I’ve made it one of my main projects for the year and here’s where I am on it.

My plan is to finish the bricks on the house, then set this one aside for a while. I need a break. I think once the bricks are done, there will be about two weeks of work left to do on it before it’s finished. Hopefully I will not stick it aside and leave it for too long.

Thank you. After what I got stitched last night, I think if I can stitch at least 400 stitches today and tomorrow, I should be done with the house and then I’ll move on to something else for a while.

That’s so pretty! I love the colors! I finally finished Maker and Mender except for procrastinating on my initials. Have already moved on to one of four new projects.

…I really like this project!

Me too. I think since I like it so much, I’ve stuck with it longer than I normally would have.

Since it’s been more than 2 minutes since I wrote that post, I read your comment and thought “Oh, no . . what “W” did I leave out?” I went back to the post looking for a forgotten “W” and then saw it in the picture. I could really hide my own Easter eggs! 🙂
