Tuesday the fish truck I like was at Junkerville’s parking lot. Junkerville is the flea market I like and where the chalk paint I like is sold. I took the black frame in but I didn’t bring the cross stitched piece because it’s still rolled up on the frame and I’m stitching something else on the bottom of it. I did take a picture of the frame under the bedroom light. It really is black but I’m fixing to paint it so it doesn’t matter what color it is.

The girl I like who works at the flea market some days was there. It’s her booth where the Dixie Belle paint is sold so she’s always happy to help me.
I told her I needed a blue and ended up buying three blues and a blue-green – not for this piece but because I really like it and I know there’s going to a time when it’s the perfect color for whatever I need. Now that I have it, I may come dig out a floss color that matches it and then use that color floss so I can paint a frame that color.

Which color would you choose? I don’t feel any stress because if I don’t like the one I choose, I’ll just sand it down a bit and use a different color.

This is Yankee Blue and I’m going to start with that one. I still feel like I want a little gold rubbed onto it so I’m going to paint the back side and then play around with gold.l If I don’t like it, no big deal . . it’s the back side. If I do like it, I’ll add a little to the front.

That color looks very good with the blues in the piece. Is it the top blue in the picture with 4 blues? It’s the one I would choose (I think).

For me, I would choose the darkest blue. It will compliment your piece but not make your handiwork blend into the frame.

I agree with Dottie, I’d pick the top blue and I also think you did!

Like Dottie and Pat the top blue is the one I would use. I can’t wait to see your finished piece.

I had planned to paint the frame today but Vince was busy with the tree cutters and I didn’t know where he keeps the sandpaper so hopefully he’ll have time tomorrow to find some for me. I’ll post pictures here as soon as it’s painted and dry.
