This morning I was moving some things around and spotted a frame in the stack of frames that I thought might work for Rose Hill Farm Sampler. I grabbed it, took it apart and I think it’s close to a perfect fit.

The frame is a greenish gold and I think it is going to be absolutely perfect for this piece – the colors and the fit. I have been collecting frames for a while and I would guess there are at least 40, maybe a few more, frames around here. Most of them were in the $3 – $7 range at thrift stores. I’ve been a bit disappointed because, up until now, I haven’t had a single frame I could use.
We did buy a saw, and I can’t remember what kind it is, that we could use to cut down the frames but it’s been well over a year since we bought that and so far, it hasn’t happened, and to be quite honest, I don’t think it ever will so either the frames I have here have to fit or they don’t work.
I’m hoping that the more finishes I have, the more frames I will find here that will work.
And . . I saw a flosstuber . . either Olivia at Pumpkin Hollow Quilts or Jessica at Sweetwater Stitcher, who had stitched Home by Pineberry Lane and I really liked that so I pulled it out. This morning I also found a cute little black frame that has a 4″ x 6″ opening. Home would be 2-1/2″ x 3-3/8″ if stitched on 35 count. If I leave a few more spaces between the bottom of the house and the check board at the bottom, and raise the word “HOME” up a row or two, I think I could get the length to almost 4-1/2″ and that would give this piece a 3/4″ border on each side in that cute little black frame!
So much stitching . . so little time! But, honestly . . wouldn’t you rather have too many fun things to do than sit around with nothing to do? Yep, me too!

Beautiful frame! I think it will be perfect. I’ve been collecting, too, and haven’t used any yet.

That frame looks like a great color to go with the fabric/threads you are stitching with!
