I’m supposed to be working on WIPs but I knew as soon as Rose Hill Farm Sampler arrived, I would have to start stitching on it. This was one of Stacy Nash’s new releases. As soon as I finished Mender and Maker, I spent one day working on The Lord’s Prayer, which is the WIP I had planned to work on, but Rose Hill Farm Sampler kept calling me. I told myself – just start it and then you can go back to The Lord’s Prayer.

I think I will stick with this one until it’s finished. First, I love the colors! The pinks, tans, browns, greens – they are so pretty. I have the “bones” of the border stitched all the way around. I stayed up half the night stitching that because once I start a border, I have a hard time stopping til I know it’s all going to meet up.
The second reason I’ll probably stick with this is that I’m stitching it on the Duxbury linen by Fox & Rabbit that was left over from Maker and Mender so I can’t (or won’t) take it off the stand til I’ve finished this one and I seriously want to get both of these framed!
There are flowers and leaves all around the border, another berry bowl, a few small motifs, letters (which I like to stitch and . . my favorite . . a big red barn or house or something big and red. I don’t think I’ll get tired of working on this one but . . you know how I am.
