Last night I had just sat down to start stitching. My phone rang. It was Chad. “Can I talk to Vince?” Sure . . but Vince has TWO phones so why are you calling on my phone to talk to him? I didn’t say that. I just told Vince Chad wanted to talk to him and handed Vince the phone. They were talking 3D printers and that lasted about 20 minutes, which is about 19 minutes longer than Chad usually talks to me. 🙁
When Vince handed the phone back to me, Chad said “Addie has something for you to tell Vince.” I said OK.
Don’t read more into this than it is because it isn’t happening but we’ve been looking at a house in their town. Chad, Nicole and Addie went by and looked at it. Addie wants us to get it ONLY because it has a barn and she wants cows or sheep or something. She wanted me to tell Vince “You HAVE to get that house on street name“. I said “Here, I’ll put it on speaker and YOU can tell him.” She told him. He doesn’t like the house. I do like the house. We’re not getting the house! He told her . . I’m not getting that house!
Then I sent Chad a link to another house I had found but there are two reasons he brought up that makes me not want it. First, there are woods . . lots of woods around it. He said hunters are crazy in that area. You’d probably have lots of bullets going by your house. Second, I think if we could find a place with enough land, they would build on part of it. I hadn’t realized this house was in a total different school district. Both are actually but the one Addie wants us to get, they could pay extra and she could stay in the same school district she’s in now. That wouldn’t work with the second house but . . it has a really nice full kitchen in the basement! I would love that.
The only thing harder than the two of us finding a house is adding a 12 year old into the mix — one who thinks she gets the final say in what we buy. 🙂
