Remember the package from 123 Stitch that was traveling the country? It got delivered today. It was shipped on December 30 and, along the way, it stopped at 11 different post offices in 11 different towns. Texas, Kansas, Missouri (four different times), and Alabama. It’s here and that’s all that matters!
The package contained floss for several charts and one of them I have been wanting to start but so far, I’ve talked myself out of it but then I read Denise’s blog and she’s talking about wanting to start “all the things”. Dang it! If she’s going to do that, I am too! 🙂
No, I’m not . . at least not in January. I have to finish something before I can start anything new. It happens that Denise and I are working on the same chart now – My Heart My Home by Homespun Prims by Lori. Yesterday I was able to stitch 25% of it so if I stick with that amount of stitching, I should be finished by the end of Monday.
With this new discipline when it comes to starting new projects, it makes me think twice about what I’m starting. There are a lot of smalls I have been wanting to stitch. With my other three projects that are ongoing being fairly large, it is nice to have something I can start and finish in a few days, then I get to make a new start!
On the other hand, if I already have the chart, the floss and the fabric, why not start a new project? I guess, if I may answer my own question . . the more I start, the less I finish. Sticking to one project at least gives me some finishes. I don’t want this year to go by quickly but it is going to be interesting to see how well I do.
