I’m making progress on For the Love of Nature by Teresa Kogut and I hope to have this finished by Christmas. I’m unrealistically hoping to have it finished by Wednesday when I meet with my stitching friend again.
Since I’ve shown it last, I’ve stitched a lot on the deer. Poor guy! I still need to stitch a front leg and the back legs just have one “leg” of the stitch done. I stitched part of that one tree and part of the squirrel. I’ve filled in a couple of the larger hearts.
Farther down, I’ve stitched the outline of grass? Yard? And, I’ve stitched one of the trees.
I may have mentioned this already but for me, the bottom is a bit cluttered. I’m going to make some changes and leave off some of the stitching. I halfway have a plan of what I want to do but I still may make changes.

Is it just the lighting? The deer’s back legs look a lighter shade of brown than the rest of him.

I’ve done one “leg” on those lighter areas and will go back and stitch the other “leg” when I’m stitching with my friend this week. That will make them the same color as the other stitches which have the full crosses done. When I say one “leg”, that means just one side of the “x” and not both sides. It’s confusing – especially when I’m actually stitching LEGS on a deer!
