This was actually a new start and a finish! I started it late Saturday night and finished it last night! The reason I started a new project is that I wanted to finish using the space on the linen below Red Bird Sampler.
Do I really believe every time I see a cardinal that I’m being “visited” by someone who has passed away? No. But, when I see a cardinal, I do think about the saying and it makes me think about my grandmas most often, sometimes about my aunt, about my nephew, about several friends who passed away many years ago. Thinking of any of them brings back good memories and always makes me smile. We have lots of cardinals around here so rarely a day goes by that I don’t see multiple cardinals.
I would like to frame this and have it on a table in the bedroom so I see it first thing in the morning. My first trip out with the dogs after daylight, it’s rare that I don’t see a cardinal.
The chart is Cardinal by Needle Treasures Nook. Obviously, it’s a very quick and easy stitch!

I’ve always LOVED cardinals and have always loved that saying – it brings (for me) happiness and comfort.
