There was a little break from stitching this weekend – a break from everything really – I think it was Thursday I started feeling like I might have a kidney stone. My plans for Thursday – Saturday involved cooking about a dozen freezer meals. The food was prepped and needed to be cooked so there was no time for a kidney stone. I got through Saturday with just a bit of pain but Sunday it was getting serious. I told Vince . . I think I might have a kidney stone. He immediately wanted to go to the ER. Nope . . it might go away. Hope springs eternal, right? Sunday night things didn’t go so well. I tried to let Vince get a decent night’s sleep but a bit before 5 a.m., I had to wake him to go to the ER. It hasn’t even been two years since I last had lithotripsy so that’s a bit frustrating. Once I had lithotripsy and didn’t have to have it done again for 10 years. I think it was 2005 when I had that, then I didn’t have to have it done again til 2015. Then it was done in 2018, January, 2023 and here I am with kidney stones again. I really think this current stone might pass on its own. Even the ER doctor thought that might happen. Hasn’t happened yet but I’m hoping it does.
Anyway, I haven’t been stitching much. The good news is for me is that when I feel bad, even without pain meds but especially with pain meds, I can sleep for hours, wake up, eat, and sleep for hours again.
But . . back to something fun, right?
Today I picked up Love is the Key and started stitching on it again. I’ve mostly finished the bottom border. I have all their leaves stitched on the right border. There’s a lot of stitching left on the left border. I’m not even going to guess when I might get this one finished. I’m kinda tired of working on little flowers so I think I’m going to stitch the left basket and pot of flowers; then get back to the tiny border flowers, then finish the black urn and the heart to the right of it.
Today I was looking at frames and I think I found one I like for this one. I have a long ways to go before I think about framing though.
