I’m making some changes from the September plan and from what I said I was going to do in October. Me? Change my plans? Who would have guessed? 🙂
I got tired of working on the same project for 15 days. At least the last half of September I was wanting to work on smalls – things I can start and finish fairly soon. I love the larger, more stitch heavy pieces but I need to balance those with smaller pieces! I also think working on one project during the week and something else on the weekend might keep me more enthusiastic about the stitching. We’ll see . . I’ll try this plan in October:
- I will stick with my 300 stitches per day, every day, on my “scheduled project” but I will also stitch at least 200 stitches on Farmhouse Christmas. It will be difficult and I may not do it but that’s my goal.
- I will again have a project from the first through the 15th and a second project to work on from the 16th through the end of the month.
- I will have a small project or something with fill in work for my stitching get together with friends.
- I will work on something different on weekends. I think I will have a project for the first two weekends and a different project for the last two weekends.
October 1 – 15 Project:
For quite a while I’ve been wanting to stitch Miss Isabelle Black.
One of the stitching groups I’m in has a monthly challenge. For October, it’s to stitch something with a pumpkin on it so this is what I will try to get stitched in October.
October 16 – 31 Project:
For the last half of October, I will work on one of Teresa Kogut’s October Patreon projects. The name is “Miracle Grow”. It’s “October-ish” but not totally “Halloween-ish”. Figure that one out. 🙂
Weekend #1 and #2:
I’ll work on Rejoice Evermore.
Weekend #3 and 4:
I’ve been wanting to stitch CinderKlaus by Not Forgotten Farm. I’m hoping if I work on it two weekends in October and November, I’ll have it finished for Christmas.
Stitching Group Stitching:
I plan to stitch Quaker Block Print Pattern.

I love how my Quaker Block Print turned out – it was a fun stitch. I hadn’t seen CinderKlaus before – very cute!

I have fabric loaded for it but didn’t have floss picked out so I didn’t take with me to my stitching with friends day today. I’ll have to make up for that!

So what did you stitch on at stitching with friends?
