Last night we had an Azure pickup. The pickup times vary and we never know when they’re going to be – day or time – until a few days after our order closes. We’ve had them at 8 a.m. and I think the latest we had before yesterday was 5:30 p.m. but yesterday’s pickup was at 7:15 p.m. We don’t go out at night so I was a bit concerned. We got there about 7 and the truck was already there unloading so we got what we had to get and were back home before it was 100% dark.
But the funny thing was that a lady stopped Vince and said something like “I think I live near you.” That was kinda weird because our Azure drop location is kinda far on the other side of Carthage and there may be 30 to 40 people there most months. People come from a good ways away – some come from well over an hour away but there are drops in surrounding areas. There are people who drive over 2 hours to pick up their orders but I doubt that happens here because there are so many drops – Springfield, Neosho, Nevada, MO and many more.
But this lady who stopped Vince does live just a bit over a half mile from us. She goes a different route from home to the drop location because she passed our street and noticed us leaving. We go the other way and we passed her house. She’s way more observant than I am because I didn’t see her at all.
She and I chatted briefly. We were in a hurry to get home before it got really dark but I think she and I may get together and chat about some of the things we do.
I thought it was funny that she noticed us leaving the house, then noticed us at the drop location and she stopped and talked to Vince.
