The plan was to work on Summer Schoolhouse through September 15, with the goal of finishing the first chart. Here’s where I am as of this morning:
Here’s a picture of the cover of this chart:
I am not going to stitch anything below the house since I’m putting the four charts together as one. I have a plan for how I’ll stitch that area but I want to wait til I have all the main part of the four charts stitched, then I’ll go back and stitch the bottom “border” as one so it will hopefully fit together perfectly.
With three days left to stitch, I still need to:
- Finish the berry in the stand
- Stitch the octagon motif in the top right
- Stitch D, E, F and G
- Stitch the four berries in the fine the bird is carrying
- Fill in the roof and the house
- Stitch the frames of 7 windows
During the time from September 1 – September 15, two days I’ve taken a smaller project (Rejoice Evermore) to stitch with my friend on Wednesdays and this Saturday I’ll take Rejoice Evermore again so, IF I don’t get this Summer Schoolhouse block finished, I will “borrow” a day or two from the last half of September to get it done. I do feel like I can finish it by the end of the day on September 15 though.
Even though Rejoice Evermore was not on the schedule for the last half of September, I had the house outlined and it’s much smaller than Summer Schoolhouse so it’s what I’ve been taking to stitch with my friend on Wednesdays.
In the two Wednesdays, I’ve gotten the roof filled in and the bottom half of the house stitched. I will continue taking this project with me for away from home stitching until the house is finished and then I’ll have to come up with another project that doesn’t require so much close attention/counting.
