Almost a Fully Finished Item!

Almost . . like so close . . waiting for glue to dry. This could be fully finished tonight. So, why didn’t I wait until it was fully finished before blabbing about it? Because I am so darned excited. When was the last time I fully finished anything? I cannot remember!

Today Vince and I were in town and I “needed” to stop by Hobby Lobby to get some floss. When I met up with Vince again in the store, he was on the phone talking to a man about a car so I wandered around for a few minutes and came across unfinished wood plaques and shapes that were on sale 40% off. I ended up putting about half a dozen pieces in the cart and one of them was this little wooden piece.

I remembered Harvest Tina that I had stitched (finished stitching in September, 2021) so when I got home, I went to the design wall where I have all the pieces that are stitched and needing to be fully finished and grabbed her.

It was from Teresa Kogut’s Patreon group but it’s now in Teresa’s Hello Autumn book. There’s also the boy, Harvest Ted and I want to stitch him too.

This was one of the first things I stitched and I screwed up every way possible. The worst thing I did is that there was about 1/4″ of fabric on the left side so I had to work around that. This is so far from being perfect in so many ways! But, it’s really almost finished now.

I had planned to use magnets so I could put other things on this board. Then I thought . . the board is on sale for $3.86. Magnets would cost more than that so I’m probably going to glue this to the board.

The piece is just laying on the board now. I had thought about painting the board but I think I won’t. This will be on our walls very soon! Maybe by this time next year I will have Harvest Ted finished and she’ll have her friend/brother/husband with her!
