My stitching plan from August 16 through the end of August was to work on Rejoice Evermore and bet the area stitched between the alphabet and the dividing line above the house. This is where I started on August 11, which was a few days early because I had reached my goal for the first half of August.
It was on August 9 that Chad had his accident and then about August 10 that I decided to sell some of my quilting fabrics to help him get a vehicle. My goal for stitching this entire year has been to get 300 stitches per day. Almost every day I’ve reached that goal and on the days that I didn’t quite make it, I had enough stitches during the week that my average was always at least 2,100 stitches per week . . until I started trying to sell some of this fabric. It’s crazy how much time this has taken up. I am not complaining and I definitely appreciate all who have purchased fabric. I have a system that seems to be working now so I’m hoping to be able to get fabrics listed again next week without taking up quite so much of my days.
Anyway, yesterday was the first day since I started back on this project on August 11 that I actually reached my 300 stitch goal.
Look at how many days I didn’t even stitch, and then the days I stitched only 27 stitches, or 40 stitches. It did feel good to get more stitching time yesterday.
Here’s where I left off last night.
I’ve stitched the little half stars on both the left and right sides. I stitched the small pink bird on the bottom left; the outline of the sign near the top right, the basket on top of the house and the branches for the flowers and I’ve started the top bird on the right (just a few tail stitches).
It’s still possible to meet the goal on this one – not terribly likely but possible. If I do, great; if not, this one will be back on the calendar for October and maybe by then I can get 500 stitches done each day! Optimistic, aren’t I?

The colors really pop on that fabric you are stitching on. Whether 30 or 300 stitches – it’s all progress in the right direct. I might have to get my shortened version of that (didn’t stitch all of it) framed this week because I think I found a frame it would fit in. I do love that chart – especially those birds.

“direction” not “direct” (apparently my brain was way ahead and my fingers decided not to type the rest of that word – but I’m sure you knew what I meant. 🙂
