Last night when I went out for the last time with the dogs, there was this adorable little frog on one of the turmeric plants.
Doesn’t he look so sweet, with his little front “paws” tucked under his little chin? He thinks he’s safe because he’s the same exact color as the big leaf and and nothing is going to see him or bother him. I wanted to bring the pot and the plant and the little frog inside and Vince said no . . that wouldn’t be good. Vince thinks he’s been sleeping there every night and I haven’t noticed him so “just leave him alone!”
I left him alone and he was gone this morning. I sure hope he’s off looking for his breakfast and safe!
Some of you may remember this story – Vince and I were dating (he lived in FL and I lived in Louisiana) so we often met in Florida. On one particular weekend, I had left work at noon and driven to Florida. I had the cutest lime green outfit and, of course, lime green shoes – it was what I had worn to work.
I loved shoes and I loved those shoes and had them in four or five colors! Anyway, I had on my lime green outfit and we were at a restaurant and were waiting outside for a table. I sat on a bench and a little bitty lime green lizard hopped right out of a bush and landed on my arm. I sat very still but he only stayed a second. Vince said “Mama! Mama! He thinks you’re his mother because you’re the same color he is!”
The little frog last night reminded me of our trips to FL and the little green lizard looking for his mom! Good memories!

I had a lime green shirt I wore for nearly 20 years. I looked really good on that shirt. I miss it. It cheered me up to wear it.

I had the bright pink ones and had them on at Disney World. We got caught in a good rainstorm and my feet were pink for days! Those shoes were so comfortable.

I had a couple of pineapple plants on my front porch for years and a little green frog lived on them.

That’s interesting. This is the first time I’ve noticed one.
