Oh, my goodness! Cooper is at the vet. Not only is he getting neutered but he has two puppy teeth that have to be pulled, glands expressed and teeth cleaned. Poor baby.
I’ve been thinking how nice it is that Oscar has calmed down. He will be 3 in December. I was concerned that he would miss Cooper today and be sad. Without Cooper here for most of the day, I was looking forward to sitting and stitching without so many interruptions. NO! Oscar has been so wild this morning! We’ve been outside to play catch FOUR times trying to run off some energy. He has found and chewed up a sock I must have dropped. He’s jumped and grabbed a roll of paper towels and shredded about 10 pieces. He’s grabbed paper out of the printer and started shredding it before I could get to him.
Cooper is definitely the alpha dog and the leader in most of the shenanigans around here but Oscar is not the angel I’ve been thinking he was.
Except for still having to take Oscar out almost every hour, I’m still convinced it’s easier to have two dogs than one. I am really surprised what a handful Oscar has been this morning.
Cooper should be home early afternoon but he’ll probably sleep in the crate today. Tomorrow the real fun will begin – keeping them apart til Cooper is healed. Not looking forward to that but glad to have this behind us.

Hope it all went well and they behave for the next 2 weeks!

Now you know how much energy they burned off playing with each other. And how much attention they focused on each other instead of what things they could get into.
