WANTED: A friend who buys all the charts, all the linen, all the floss, all the gadgets, starts a new project at least once a week but never finishes anything! Over achievers need not apply! 🙂
That’s a joke but my friend, Denise . . have you seen how many finishes she’s had . . like in the last two hours? Well, maybe it’s been a few days but go check out all her finishes. I tell myself – she doesn’t have a garden, she doesn’t have 2 dogs but then I remind my lazy, scatterbrained self that she has a full time job!! She spends way more hours at that job than I spend with two dogs and a garden so . . I need another excuse.
Maybe I should get some amount of credit for all the great stitching plans I come up with . . maybe I should frame some of these charts, unstitched, and hang them on the wall since I never seem to get them stitched.
Here’s my latest plan. I love Shannon Christine Designs’ Tree Farm chart. You may remember that my uncle gave Chad my grandpa’s old truck that my uncle had fully restored.
I’m thinking I would stitch this and make the truck the color of my grandpa’s truck. I would love to stitch and frame it for Chad and Nicole but they don’t seem to get real fired up about my cross stitching so maybe I’ll stitch it, frame it and if they love it, I’ll give it to them. Without a doubt, this will not be finished for this Christmas. I would also love to stitch Christmas Manor, which seems to be a great companion piece to Tree Farm.
So many plans . . so little stitching time!

Maybe you could just stitch the bottom row of tree farm 🙂

That’s a great thought. Once I get ready to start, I’m going to consider that idea.

What a gorgeous chart and a great idea!! How could they not love it??!!

They don’t seem to be interested in cross stitched pieces. 🙁

ROFLOL – I don’t do any canning, I don’t have to go shopping with Vince, I don’t freeze dry, I don’t have to go shopping with Vince :-), I seldom bake bread and I don’t have to go shopping with Vince — add those things to what you already listed and you definitely have a full time job and then some! And all those things I’ve finished lately are ornaments so quick and easy (I finished another one last night and started on the next one) 😉 And I did buy two new charts, with all the called for flosse- to decide what my Bday start will be -so I have bought stuff recently. And I just might have ordered on my lunch break the Annie Beez 12 days of christmas stocking book, floss, fabric and a finishing kit so I’m pretty much in “order all the things” mode at the moment. Okay back to work and no more shopping (or picking on Vince about shopping).

OK. I feel better. Thank you. I also feel the need to shop for new charts! 🙂

I clicked the link and went back to read about Chad’s truck. My dad had a 1959 Chevy Apache pickup. His was one of the first consumer 4WD pickup versions. It was more of a light blue. Chad’s truck is more the color of the 1955 Chevy 150 car my husband restored. Just kind of cool to see a similar pickup all restored & spiffy.

I had no idea when they started making 4WD consumer pickups. Chad is so proud to have that old truck.
