I mentioned in an earlier post about making this Crockpot Cube Steak recipe. I seem to have a serious love/hate relationship with my crockpot. It isn’t that I LOVE it and I don’t HATE it but I’ll use it 5 times a week for weeks and weeks, then put it back on the shelf and not use for months and months. This summer, I do intend to use it more. First, if the kitchen in this house is comfortable while I’m cooking, the basement is like a deep freeze.
It was easy to put together, and, of course, the crockpot is so easy. I was able to go downstairs and do some organizing and never have to check back on it. When it was done, I removed some of the broth/cooking liquid and made the gravy in a pot on the stove. The carrots were part of the cube steak recipe so I ended up not cooking the green beans. So . . made mashed potatoes, cut up a tomato and cucumber for a salad, baked rolls and we had a yummy, easy, not too much of a mess type meal.

I make my round steak in the Crockpot just like you make your cube steaks. 🙂 I use some onion soup mix for flavor and throw in a couple of potatoes and call it good! Occasionally I will add carrots, but since I’m the only one who will eat vegetables, I don’t do it often. Yours looks yummy!! 🙂
