It’s Don’t Cry Because It’s Over by Lizzie Kate. It’s a quick stitch and it will go on my “Good Advice” wall once it’s framed. It’s about 7-7/8″ x 2-1/2″.
We are supposed to change the finger bandage every day for four days using the materials the doctor sent home with us. Today we greatly decreased the padding and that helped so much with stitching. Also, the dogs aren’t nearly as interested in trying to help me get rid of the appendage. Starting Tuesday, we can use a bandaid instead of the big puffy bandage! I can always add a little of the wrap if I feel like I need some padding . . and I probably will.
Today I did a minor bit of cooking and Vince did an excellent job of cleaning the kitchen. We probably tamales back from Louisiana. I divided them up and froze them in bundles of 6 tamales/package. I had a package that were defrosting in the fridge so I put those in the steamer to heat them, heated up some leftover pinto beans, sauteed onions and jalapeno and grated some cheese. It was easy and delicious. Tomorrow I think we’ll have frozen chicken enchiladas that I made and froze a couple of weeks ago. Monday I’m going to open a jar of canned roast beef, fix a pot of rice, maybe Vince will shuck some corn . . and by Tuesday the hospital cafeteria will be serving lunch again! 🙂

My granddaughter and I both did very similar things with stick blender, I was first and treated at home. Ended up on antibiotics 2 rounds. Granddaughter did hers afterwards and came over for papa to bandage and super glue. Hers healed fine.
