As mentioned yesterday, I’m working on And God Saw and this is going to be kinda my tribute to Rita. If you missed that post, you can read it here. You all know that I love Teresa Kogut’s work and this chart really has me wanting to do nothing except stitch!
You may notice I changed linens. This is what I had started it on last night.
Yesterday morning, with the light of day, it was much brighter yellow than I really wanted. We need more lights in this basement family room. At night, color is not great. Not happening though.
The new fabric is an XJu Design linen from one of the monthly clubs so I can’t say what the name of the linen colors might be – I don’t think she named all those monthly linens. It’s 40 count and I’d guess it’s very close to Marbled Hazelnut. The floss is Vikki Clayton Silks
I don’t know if you can read this progress report from Markup-XP (which I LOVE!) but yesterday I stitched 632 stitches, which is double my daily goal. It also says the estimated completion date is July 17, 2024. I won’t always be able to stitch that much and there may be days I don’t get to stitch at all. About midway through the day, it was saying the completion date would be August 9.
The funny thing is that I’m stitching this in memory of Rita and July 17 is Cooper’s first birthday. I’m going to really work towards that date for a finishing date but . . slim change.
