Dang . . my recent posts are entitled “lightning” and “weather”. We watched the tornadoes cross Oklahoma tonight and I’m praying for my Oklahoma friends. If you’re reading this, please check in when you can. My guess is that those of you in the worst hit areas probably don’t have power or cell phone service but always know, wherever you are, if you’re having a natural disaster and it’s on the news, I’m worried about you and praying for you!
We’ve watched Ryan Hall Y’all on YouTube for the last six or seven hours! I like him and he covers so much; has storm chasers all over the place.
Vince went to bed about midnight and I told him I would stay up and watch the weather. We have a severe thunderstorm warning til 2:45 a.m. (I think that’s the time it ends) but we have a tornado watch til 7 a.m. I’ll probably stitch til I can no longer make an “X” and then I’ll sleep on the sofa so I’ll hear the weather alarm if it goes off.
I was going to go ahead and take a shower but I don’t want to be the old granny on the news in my nightgown if the worst happens. Maybe I should take my shower and put on a comfy pants and a t-shirt (with a bra just in case!)
I don’t expect anything bad to happen.
I did get some good stitching in tonight on the piece I’m working on.
I got one text box filled in since I was mostly watching the video while stitching. It’s easy to do that kind of stitching when I’m not able to pay close attention to what I’m doing. I still have a bit of stitching to do on the bottom left block and a good bit to do on the bottom right block, as well as filling in the top two text boxes. Then I’ll check to be sure I have everything stitched. I’m thinking maybe by Tuesday I could be finished with this piece. I’ve given dates before for when I thought I could finish and I didn’t do it so . . I’ll finish it when I finish it, right?

Lots of rain and thunder all Sunday night, but Tulsa did OK with the storm. Didn’t sleep well at first but finally fell asleep. Hope everyone is OK.

Hi Judy, no damage at my place other than tree limbs down. The town of Sulphur, about 30 miles from us, had an EF 3. From the videos it looks like lots of businesses were hit in the downtown area and neighborhoods. Just terrible. the news this morning said 27 tornadoes in the state with 4 deaths.

I think there were several tornadoes that came through Sulphur. I have a friend who lives there but they’re out in the country and the tornado didn’t do any damages at their place. Yes, the videos look horrible.

I pray that you, your family and friends continue to be safe from the weather. It must be scary to deal with tornado warnings. Living here in Connecticut we experience severe weather but mostly during the winter.
