Morning Splash is a quilt pattern that I taught back in 2010 and 2011. Not only has our family moved three times since then, but my blog has moved several times since then. Several times a year, someone will show a finished quilt made by this pattern and I am inundated by requests for the pattern. I no longer have the pattern. I no longer have the file for the pattern. I made several quilts using this pattern when I was testing the instructions and I cannot find the quilts. There are boxes of quilts that have never been unpacked. Yes, I should do better.
This last week I have received about 40 requests for this pattern so I spent several hours this morning scouring old hard drives, the internet, every place I thought I might could find the instructions and I have found and attached a pattern. I am not guaranteeing that there are no errors because I have no idea what version of the instructions this might have been, so use at your own risk and enjoy it!
This is at the bottom of the pattern and it may help you decide if you want to bother to scroll through the whole pattern.

Thanks for the pattern, Judy! It looks a bit complicated for my current abilities, but what a beautiful quilt! I’m sure you’ve made the day for your readers! I love the bright colors with the black…I sure hope you can find those quilts!

It really is not complicated at all if you take it step by step.

It took a LOT of digging to find it!

I was surprised that I found anything. Things around here that haven’t been seen in 10 or 15 years are usually buried so deeply they’re never found.

Your story made me look into my Patchwork Times pattern folder and surprise I have a copy of Morning Splash I downloaded from the blog sometime around 2011. All 15 pdf’s plus fabric requirements, discussion and thoughts. It’s a beautiful quilt

Great! I guess I should have asked here if anyone had the chart. I feel like there’s an external drive somewhere with all my patterns on it but who knows where it might be.

Great. I would say let me know if you have any questions but it’s been so long since I quilted, I may not be able to answer them. If you make it and see any glaring mistakes, please let me know.
