This is Vince’s old pickup . . with the windshield safely protected from any big hail that might have fallen last night.
Glad you aren’t my neighbor? 🙂
The hail can damage the body but if it cracks the windshield, that would have to be replaced so it was safely protected by cardboard. We got very little small hail so the cardboard was not needed but better safe than sorry. The weather guys had said we could have had up to softball size hail. Almost all the bad weather missed us, thankfully. There were reports of a small tornado near Carthage but I haven’t heard any other news about it.
We were very lucky as far as I know. I haven’t been outside to look around yet but I don’t think we got enough hail or wind to cause any problems here.

tornadoes went just north and south of me. We also had a lot of straight line winds, so there are lots of branches down and some trees. I saw some pictures of damage just to the south and west of me, so there is some cleanup going on…

They’re saying now that the damage in Carthage was caused by 100 mph straight line winds and not a tornado. Glad the tornadoes missed you! This time of year can be scary!

…I’m glad to know you’re ok. I’ve been thinking about you today and it makes me feel better knowing you have a safe room to go to.

Thanks for thinking of us. So long as we’re home when/if a storm hits, we should be safe in that room.
