We could have severe storms on Monday – mostly late in the day. Vince looked at the weather map and said “It’s a big area that has a chance of storms. What are the chances of it hitting here?” I said “I don’t know but I’m going to be ready just in case.”
I picked up things that had landed in the safe room that didn’t need to be in there. I knew there were some things stacked in there from moving . . yes . . yarn and batting and boxes of sewing stuff and that’s staying because I have no place to put them and no energy to move them right now. I thought there were either 4 or 6 tubs of yarn but there are actually 10 tubs! Good grief! I need to start knitting more. Six tubs stacked there and four more over on the right side of those.
I have flashlights, solar chargers, water, food for all the dogs and Boots, freeze dried strawberries, bananas, apples, a few cans of Vienna sausage, crackers . . desperation and those things might taste good! There are pillows, blankets, puppy pads, leashes, harnesses, extra clothes in case . . well, let’s not think about the worst but I’m ready just in case.
I’ve done about all I can for today. I’m going to sit and stitch for a while.

I’m so glad that you have a safe room. I wish everyone had one! I remember as a child in MN watching tornadoes but we had to go to the basement to the corner where storms would come from so that if they house was blown away, we would be okay (theoretically). Fortunately, none went over us. In MN, tornadoes usually hit by water, but since there are over 100,000 lakes, I guess most places are near water! I saw the area that is in the warning area and it is huge! I’ll be saying a prayer!

Thank you. I’ve done all I can do so now we wait. Boots has to go to the vet tomorrow but our appointment is at 11:40 and we should be home where we can run to our safe spot before anything severe moves in.

The storm line also includes us here in Texas, but our possibilities are not that big right now. Praying you are all safe from them and don’t have to use your supplies.

Thanks! I hope they aren’t bad there. At least we mostly have basements and shelters here. That was one thing I was a bit concerned while living there but in 9 years, we hunkered down in the laundry room once. Here, it usually happens at least once a year but last year, I don’t think our sirens went off once.

We will. Chad’s area may be worse than ours and they do not have a basement or safe room. 🙁
