Chad and his family are in Louisiana and Chad sent me this picture. When I looked at it, my first thought was . . I have to share this on the blog . . for those readers who remember Chad in high school and college. He wasn’t a BAD kid but he kept me on my toes and we butted heads probably daily for many years. I have to laugh, and thank God that he grew up to be the man he is. I guess many of us go through a time with teens when we wonder where they came from and if they’ll ever grow up. He did grow up and I’m so proud of him.
He caught the fish right off the dock and threw it back.
Chad is a good guy – a good dad and a good husband from what I can see. Nicole seems pretty happy with him. Addie thinks he walks on water. I’m happy that he takes his vacation time every year and spends it with my uncle, who will soon be 92. My uncle looks so forward to the time he gets to spend with them. He’s always loved Addie. He had no children but is very close to Chad, Nicole and Addie.
Even living less than an hour from him, I don’t get to see him nearly as much as I’d like but probably more than he thinks is necessary. 🙂

I’ve always said that those teenage years are God’s way of making us ready to LET THEM GO! Like you, I am very blessed to have two grown sons we are so proud of!
