The Summer Schoolhouse project (it’s out of stock now and I don’t know if they are getting more in stock but other places may have it) is the Leap Day/Year project that several of us are working on. Denise has written several posts about her progress. She started on the far right side. I started on the far left side. Here’s my progress.
I’m happy with the progress I made. This one will get put aside til the next time I work on it. I’m still undecided as to how/when I’m going to work on it. I think . . subject to change, of course, that I will pick it up on the 29th of each month and work on it til the end of the month. That will give me two or three days each month. If the 29th/30th/31st fall on days I cannot work on it, then I just skip it for that month. I’m thinking I got about 15% of the first block stitched and that was working on it three days. Some months, I’ll only have two days and some months, I may not even get to work on it. If I continue at this pace, I should get it finished just in time for the next Leap Day.
The fabric for this is Porcelain by Roxy Floss Co. and the floss is Vikki Clayton silks.

It is looking good! I’m starting on the right side… don’t have as much done as Denise but I did put in some time with it today. Had an idea to break in down into about 10 segments of 50 stitches horizontally… and then try to get that much done each month. I’m starting out strong but will fade I’m sure as other seasonal stuff catches my attention. I posted my start on my blog yesterday and on Instagram… will up date in a couple of days… happy stitching!

Great start! I got one leaf done on the 29th and haven’t picked it up again. I like your 29th of the month idea!
