This morning I wanted biscuits, eggs and hash browns. I was going to fix bacon and Vince said he would rather have ham so I fixed bacon for me and ham for him. I also cooked some apples that we needed to use.
Sorry for the blurry picture. I usually take more than one picture because I’m not great with getting decent pictures but this morning, I only took one and it’s not great for sure. I love that I can put six full size skillets/pots on my stove. I used the front right pot for Vince’s ham, the front middle skillet for eggs, the left front skillet for biscuits; the back left for hash browns, the back middle for apples and the back right for bacon.
I could eat biscuits every day for breakfast. Love making them and love eating them!
That’s our big meal for today! We’re having hamburgers for dinner.
After breakfast and cleaning the kitchen, we got the grains from the Azure pickup yesterday all put into buckets and put away. There were a few bags of beans so it wasn’t all grains but anyway, it’s all put away.
It’s just after 1 p.m. and I hope to spend most of the next 10 or so hours stitching.

All that cast iron! How do you clean it without ruining the seasoning?
judy.blog@gmail.com says
You don’t want to know! I use Dawn and squirt a drop or two (really – just a couple of drops) in the pan, and using a brush I scrub it, then rinse it out, dry it, heat it up on the stove and rub it down with grapeseed oil.
Some people say not to use soap but I always have. I really only use cast iron except for what I cook in the pressure cookers and things that require boiling water (pasta, etc.)

What a great breakfast! Love your stove and cast iron. Did you cook the biscuits in the oven or stovetop?

I cooked the biscuits in the oven.

Biscuits look so good, which recipe did you use?

This one is what I mostly used and what I used in that picture.
