Cross Stitchers, if you haven’t seen NeniDesignCrafts on Etsy, you must check out her shop. I’m hoping it’s a “her” but . . sorry Neni if it isn’t.
Yesterday on one of the stitching Facebook groups, someone shared a KC Chiefs Gnome and said the purchased it from NeniDesignCrafts on Etsy. I shouldn’t have but I went straight over there. I’m more of a reproduction sampler type girl but those gnomes are so, so cute. I ended up getting charts for the Chiefs Gnome, the LSU Gnome for Chad, the Clemson Gnome for Vince, and a Christmas and Valentine’s Day chart (not gnomes). I wrote the seller and asked if she could design a chart for a Georgia Tech gnome and she said she has a lot of special orders but she can have it ready in a few months so I ordered that.
No idea when I will get them done but you can bet I’d better get Clemson and Georgia Tech stitched before I stitch LSU.
All off the charts are supposed to be compatible with or designed for use with Pattern Keeper so that will be nice.
Anyway, even if you think gnomes aren’t your style, you should check out how cute those are and maybe find a fan gnome for someone on your gift list who is hard to buy for. These can be finished as a pillow, or in the round (a tin, a hoop or a clock face with the clock removed, they can be framed – lots of options.
The Chiefs – 64 x 104
Clemson – 62 x 103
I’m assuming the Georgia Tech chart will be about the same size. On 40 count, the stitched area would be 3-1/8 x 5-1/8 so that would leave almost 1″ margin around all four sides in a 5″ x 7″ frame. In a 4″ x 6″ frame, there would be a bit less than half an inch on each side.
I have both of these frames.
Depending on how tightly I wanted to frame these pieces, either of these could work. The top one holds three 5 x 8 pieces and the bottom one holds three 3-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ pieces. Sometimes 40 count fabric, after dying is more like 42 count so I’ll just have to see once they’re finished.
But . . I will only have two gnomes for Vince and he isn’t a Chiefs fan. What’s wrong with him? There are frames for two pictures or I might just want to frame them separately. I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it and you all know how long it could be before I get these pieces stitched.

Hi Judy!
Thank you for sharing this great site! I just purchased a Kansas State Gnome to stitch for my son. There are some many great charts on the site.

The gnomes are so cute! This frame would work if you put a picture of Vince in the middle.
