Here at the house, our cell service only works on wifi except if I stand at the dining room window. When the power went out, my first thought was to let Chad know we didn’t have power (he knows about our cell service) because I didn’t want him to try to call, us not answer, know that we would not have been out in that weather and worry about us. If he can’t get me, he’ll try Vince’s phone, then he’ll send a message on FB. None of that would work without internet. I didn’t know Vince was going to bring in a small solar generator (not gas or diesel) inside the house so the internet and TV would work. Anyway, I told Chad . . our power is out. Don’t worry about us. We’re fine but we won’t be able to get phone calls. He thanked me and offered for us to come there. Nope, not leaving the dogs and not bringing them to your house with your two dogs. The roads were such a mess, it would have taken us forever to get there.
Anyway, Vince got everything working and I got on FB to send them a message that we had internet and I had this from Nicole.
She said “Chad wanted me to send you this. Thought you might enjoy it!”
Not nice, huh? 🙂

And laughing that we were cold and he wasn’t. 🙂

I purchased a solar generator actually it was a 2 for, a small and a larger one, at the time I didn’t even think about powering the internet. Thanks for posting this! Texas had a bit of a cold snap but at least we didn’t lose power or the entire grid this time so many people have PTSD over what happened a couple of years ago.

Vince went through the power outage in Texas a couple of years ago but it wasn’t our first time to be without power for even a week or longer so we were prepared. Glad you got the small generators.
