January 5 was pretty much consumed with working on getting things set up on the new kitchen shelf unit. It was late and I was tired by the time I got downstairs and was able to wear down the dogs and get to stitching. The Strawberry House chart is in Pattern Keeper so as I check off stitches made, it tracks how many stitches I’ve made. I was ready to stop stitching after 100 stitches but I kept stitching and checking to see how many stitches I had made. I stopped working on the strawberries and started stitching on the house because those were quicker to make. I was not stopping til I got to 300. The minute I marked off that 300th stitch, I stopped and went to bed.
On January 6, I had a bit more stitching time but was back to working on leaves around the border and got a few letters stitched.
Isn’t it turning out pretty?
With the earlier start yesterday, I got more stitching done – 528 stitches!
My plan for today is to work on the strawberries. If I counted correctly, there are 13 left to stitch. If I could get 7 of those done today I’d be happy and then I would probably stitch the rest of the hill and maybe a bit more on the house.

I’m sorry if you’ve already answered this question, Judy, but are those the called for flosses? That house color is unusual, but so pretty! This is becoming so pretty!

The house color is the called for (DMC 355). In my photos it looks more orange than it is. I changed two of the greens because my linen is a greenish color and the called for colors weren’t showing up well. The greens I subbed: Vine – Weeks Juniper, Grass – DMC 3022.
