I order frames from Custom Frame Club but it’s pretty much the same as Custom Frame Solutions. For the “club” a membership fee is paid (annually I think) and we get discounted frames but the non-club orders almost always have a discount code. I wrote more about all this in this blog post.
Anyway, on December 18 I ordered eight frames. Thursday eight frames arrived. There’s one that’s out of stock and will not be shipped til May. That’s the frame I ordered for First Corinthians. I was concerned that the back ordered frame was the one I ordered for Santa’s Big Bouquet. I’m so anxious to see if that one works. You can see all the frames and for which projects I ordered them in this post.
I opened the box of frames, pulled out one . . without even looking to see which one it was. I’m going to get that one framed, then grab another one. All I’ve had time to do was get the piece tossed over the foam board. It isn’t stretched, it isn’t pinned. It’s really just tucked into the frame with the foamboard.
Darn it . . I shouldn’t have had the brown frame on the brown slip cover but hopefully you can see enough. I think it’s going to be beautiful! I’m glad that was the first frame I pulled out. I will pin this one to the foamboard tomorrow, then slip it back into the frame and stare at it for a few days. If I think it’s straight and looks as close to perfect as I can get it, then I’ll lace it, pop it into the frame, nail it all down and have it fully finished and ready for hanging on the wall.

Yes, it’s absolutely beautiful!! The frame shows up just fine, and it looks perfect for the cross-stitched piece! 🙂

So pretty! I love that frame, especially with that stitched piece!

I love the ornate, wider frames that I see other people using but I seem to always go with the more narrow, basic frames. Maybe frame choices say something about our personality – well, I’m not very narrow but I also am more plain than ornate! 🙂

I started pinning it today and ran out of pins. That big one needed a lot of pins. I don’t leave them in there after lacing but needed them to get it tight. New ones should be here Wednesday but we have some crazy weather coming so I’m guessing they won’t be here til later in the week.
