Yesterday I got in 371 stitches and . . the outline of the house is done (correctly) and the frame for the doors and windows (correctly . . I hope!).
Today we have nowhere to go (I hope). Lots of definitive statements this morning, huh? Obviously, I don’t know what’s going on around here. It could snow . . but maybe not. If it does and if there’s any accumulation, then I’m playing outside til the snow melts!
A neighbor made shrimp gumbo and brought us some so I’ll fix rice and a salad and we’ll have that for lunch. The turkey in the fridge has taken forever to defrost but finally it’s ready to put in the smoker. Instead of smoking it 14 hours til it’s done, I’m going to smoke it about 5 hours, then finish it in the oven. That will give it plenty of smoke flavor. For dinner we’re going to have turkey sandwiches on fresh rye . . which means I have to make fresh rye bread today (we’re out), with guacamole. I love turkey sandwiches on rye with guacamole! As you can see, none of that cooking is labor intensive so my plan today is to get the strawberries stitched along the border.

Sampler is looking good! You will definitely have no trouble finishing yours…next year I will be a bit smarter about what I pick for a blessing chart!
