That didn’t go so well! At 1 a.m., I laughed and said to myself “It’s a good thing you were building a house and not doing brain surgery!”
I stitched 309 stitches and ripped out about 265 of those stitches.
First let me say there was no wine involved!
The side of the house was supposed to start 6 stitches over from the edge of the hill. I started stitching that wall, which was to be 30+ stitches tall. After about 25 stitches, I stopped and counted and apparently had a brain lapse because suddenly I thought “That door isn’t supposed to be that tall!” and ripped out all but enough stitches for the door. I stitched the outline of the door, the window over the door, and was thinking there was another window above it so I stitched that, then I stitched the window to the right of the door and the window above that door, then realized there wasn’t supposed to be a window above the window above the door so I ripped that out and kept going on the far right window. By now, I’ve stitched a door, and five windows and ripped out one of those windows. Then I was ready to start stitching the left wall. Wait . . there’s no space for the left wall. That’s when I had to stop and figure out what I had done wrong. Good grief.
I was not going to get up this morning and have to do all that ripping so I ripped it all out and started completely over. Left wall is stitched and the roof outline is started.
In my defense, we were watching a really good movie and apparently I was paying too much attention to the movie. I’ll do better today . . I hope.

What was the movie?

I knew someone would ask. I have no idea. I’ll have to ask Vince. We’ve watched several good movies. The one night before last was “I want to Marry Ryan Banks” or something like that. I just googled what I remembered about last night’s movie and it was Timeless Love.

When I make mistakes like that, I stop for the day…so frustrating!

I generally don’t want to stop til I get it all fixed.
