Call my crazy (I bet it won’t be the first time! <G>) but I have always saved my dogs’ baby teeth. Soccer was the first one and I have probably 10 of his baby teeth. I only found a couple of Specks. I didn’t find any of Oscar’s but he had two baby teeth that didn’t come out and the vet pulled those so I got them. So far, I hadn’t been able to get any of Cooper’s. My cousin has a dachshund about one week older than Cooper and last I heard, she had found two of his baby teeth.
I think I mentioned on here that the other night Cooper had a tooth that was just about to fall out but I didn’t have enough hands to hold him still, hold his mouth open and pull that tooth. When Vince came down, I asked him if he would help me pull Cooper’s tooth and he said NO WAY! I begged . . it’s SOOO loose. You hold him still. It won’t hurt him . . I’ll pull it. Not happening. I kept begging and finally he agreed so he held Cooper, I opened his mouth . . the tooth had already fallen out. Most of the time, I think they swallow them.
This afternoon Vince was sitting downstairs and we were talking. I glanced down at the floor and what did I see?
It looks huge but it’s tiny! I should have put something next to it for perspective. So . . at least I have one of his teeth. I’ll hope to get a few more but one is better than none.
